The iconic Arts Centre Gold Coast is now HOTA (Home of the Arts) – a brand new name for a brand new venue featuring a brand new outdoor stage!

The Arts Centre Gold Coast is the Gold Coast’s signature venue for world-class live entertainment and culture on the Gold Coast, and now it’s been revamped and redesigned as HOTA. After years of planning HOTA is now finally completed, featuring a stunning new 20-metre wide amphitheatre that took almost 2 years to build. Surrounded in lush parklands, this stunning outdoor stage is all set to be the next main location for big concerts and festivals to come on the Gold Coast!

This Autumn don’t miss exciting events taking place at the HOTA outdoor stage! Catch Dancing on the Green on May 19, a huge family-friendly dance event featuring a mixture of live music and good vibes on the green. Everything from swing and salsa to ballroom and club sounds will be played by DJ or live band for a length of 5-hours, offering a great music mix that all music-fans can move to! Dancing on the Green is FREE to attend and will take place on HOTA’s brand new outdoor stage. HOTA’s new parklands offer the perfect location to dance alongside your family and friends!

On May 26 don’t miss The Spirit of Churaki, an outstanding music production telling the story of Churaki: an Aboriginal man heralded as the Gold Coast’s first surf lifesaver. Churaki’s story is both inspiring and heroic – and yet still unknown to many Gold Coast locals! The Spirit of Churaki aims to honour this heritage and story with a fantastic lineup of legendary Australian ‘surf rock’ musicians, including Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie, Martin Rotsey (Midnight Oil), Jack Howard (Hunters & Collectors), Brian Ritchie (Violent Femmes), and more. Enjoy an incredible piece of Gold Coast history with The Spirit of Churaki at HOTA’s new outdoor stage!
